I went for a walk with my kids the other day, and on our way home, our neighbor was outside. We stopped to say hello, and the conversation led to sports, his kids, my kids, and our hopefulness that our kids find success. He made a comment that his kids, unfortunately, got the short gene. Upon returning home from Los Angeles, California, and presenting at the largest annual gathering of soccer coaches in the world, I couldn’t help but reflect on this incredible opportunity. It was the second highest attended Convention in the organizations 76-year history. There was an estimated 12,000 people in attendance.
